In the summer, the visitor centre at the Cliffs of Moher can be overrun with tourists. Those in the know take a slight detour to access the spectacular views from the Guerin’s Path carpark.
The cost is similar to what you would pay at the centre, but you’ll find yourself only a few steps away from the most incredible views of the famed Cliffs. Note, this area is outside of the “walled” area, so use extreme caution and don’t get too close to the edge.
This spot is especially useful for anyone with mobility limitations as it doesn’t require as much walking to take in the view and it is handicap accessible (as is the main visitor centre). The other group who might benefit from this spot would be those who find themselves on a tight timetable (but you really shouldn’t rush a place so spectacular).
Even if you park at Guerin’s Path, you can still access the facilities at the Cliffs of Moher Visitor Experience which includes shops, food, and toilets… however, that will require a bit of walking.
