Airport Oasis: Shannon, Co Clare

by | May 24, 2012 | Clare, Kids, Travel Tips

The glass observation room on the third level of the main terminal at Shannon Airport provides a quiet getaway for travelers. The area offers a perfect view of the runways and is generally only visited by a few families each day who take the lift, look around for a few minutes, and then return to the arrivals or departures halls. The airport’s free wifi and power outlets are available in the observation room making it an ideal spot for visitors with time to kill to use and charge their laptops or mobile devices (however, the room is not accessible once a traveler passes through security in the departures hall).
