World Championship Rattlesnake Races & St Patrick’s Day Celebration: San Patricio, Texas — USA

Leave it to Texans to celebrate St Patrick’s Day with snake races. This annual event started in the early 1970s by the San Patricio Restoration Society to raise funds to improve and maintain the museum and local historical sites.

FYI – San Patricio… that’s Spanish for St Patrick.
