The regular adult admission at the Kilbeggan Distillery Experience gets you a fantastic self-guided pass to the facility and a sample of whiskey, but the VIP/Silver and Gold Tours go above and beyond with a personal tour guide, a sample of more whiskeys, and an even closer look at the process (I even met Ireland’s only female distiller and heard a few ghost stories). The sampling room is quaint and cozy, and the attached restaurant serves up great meals and Irish whiskey ice cream.
It’s recommended you call or email ahead for a special tour. You can also inquire about bringing home a bottle of whiskey with a personalized label. If you’re trying to decide between the Silver or the Gold Tour… pick the Gold, you get to see parts of the distillery not open to the public and there’s an extra sample included.
