Nestled in a gorgeous valley, often filled with mists, Uragh Stone Circle lies on a low spit of land between Lough Inchiquin and Lough Cloonee in Gleninchiquin Park, on the Ring of Beara. The road in is narrow, winding, and a bit concerning at places, but it is well worth a trip in. There are a couple other sites nearby for the adventurous. We tried to find another circle and famine house up the hill, but the rains turned us back before we could find them.
