The restored Victorian gardens at Woodstock provide an enjoyable walk, and the Monkey Puzzle Tree with its jigsaw-shaped branches delivers just one interesting feature of the gardens. The 1/4 mile long avenue is the longest of its kind in Europe and was the last addition to the grounds by William F.Tighe who died shortly afterwards in 1878. Today, wild Monkey Puzzle Trees in their native Agentina are on the endangered species list.
Only part of the facade of the house associated with the property remains, but informational plaques around the grounds include historic photos.
