The Boston Celtic Music Festival is artist founded (Shannon Heaton and Laura Cortese started it, some ten years ago now), artist run the celebration that takes place over a January weekend in venues including historic Club Passim and First Parish Church around Harvard Square in Cambridge.
The best Celtic talent in New England, much of it Irish, appears on stage, and there are workshops, activities for kids, and some years, even a parade as well. It’s family friendly, public transportation friendly, and includes music from quiet ballads to full out ceilidhs with all invited to the dance!
